The Apuan Mountain Range in Carrara, Italy is where Calacatta marble is mined. This color, which has taken the world by storm, has come to represent luxury and opulence. The colours mined here have a bright white background with a foreground of striking, dramatic veins that range in tone from brown/tan to grey and gold.
The Italian word for movement is flusso. The term Calacatta Flusso refers to a thin, long, noticeable, uninterrupted flow of grey veins. These lines are situated on top of a mid-white undertone.
